Masking in After Effects

After carrying out research into episodes of top gear i realised that the effect i was after, i would have to mask our the car and apply a gausian blur to the background. This gave the edges of the car a soft look and really brings out the colours of the car as shown below.

Flash Application in Progress

Here are some print screens of my design work so far, i included a slide out menu and some tweening animation i am concentrating on simplicity and the key design issues which make it aesthetically pleasing.

This is a first implementation into a webpage which ultimately will be where the final product will be implemented.

I tried out setting the dimensions to percent so that people with bigger screens and different browsers could view the application fully.

After completing the first design i sent out the swf file to all my group members who critisised the application to make it better i am currently in the proccess of taking the constructive critisism and implementing it.
