Job Specification
I am going to design the Car Profiles section of the application as well as the 360 degrees view of car.
The Car profiles will include images of the top 10 cars of the year along side information about each car. They will be displayed as a slideshow within Flash with navigational arrows enabling the user to switch between cars.
For the 360 degree view of the car, I will use a car modelled in 3ds max, add a camera and assign it to a path. I will then export the animation as a swf file and bring it into flash. Using action script I will then allow the user to navigate round the car using the mouse.
In addition to the above, I will also have an input into the design, layout and functionality of the whole flash application.
Skills Audit
In order for the above to be achieved, I will need to enhance the skills I already have. These skills consist of:
· Good quality Photoshop skills needed to edit the car images and information boxes enabling them to fit within the application.
· In depth 3DS Max skills needed to model a car, add lighting, cameras and export as a swf file (swift 3dmax).
· Thorough understanding of flash and action script will be needed to allow the user to navigate around a car just by moving the mouse.
I am therefore going to need to improve on the skills I already have to produce the professional product we aim to achieve.
